1. I found the statistics in the video to be interesting. Such as "1.167 community colleges in the US enroll more than 12.4 million students." It was also interesting to see what celebrities attended community college. We see these people as rich and famous, so community college seems beneath them. However, they had to begin somewhere.

2. The speaker, Josh Lafazan in the video inspired me. Nothing appeals to the audience's emotions more than a personal story. Knowing that he began at a community college and ended up graduating with a masters degree from Harvard is truly inspirational for any type of student.

3. The points in the video that I related to was when Lafazan said "Whenever you do something different, the people around you cannot handle it." I can relate because I am a single mother of not one, but two biracial boys. I lost friends by being a young mom, and received much criticism from people that were very close to me. Yes, it is 2020 but some people are still against mixing races. I have been told by people that I would never be anything in this world because of the choices that I made. Needless to say, I got back into school, I have two healthy children, and that makes me beyond blessed!

4. There was not anything in the video that I did not like.

5. I have benefited from attending a community college by saving money mostly! I feel more comfortable at a smaller school and now, it benefits me the most because I have children. It is convenient and it has been a great learning experience so far.

6. My proudest accomplishment is my kiddos! No, you cannot go to school and obtain a 'parenting' degree, but 'Mama' is my best title! If it was not for these two boys, I possibly would not be here today. They make me strive to be a better person every day. Because of them, I have set goals and I am determined to reach every single one of them!

1. I found the video to be very interesting. One of the most interesting was seeing the celebrities who went to community college and still made a great life for themselves, one with great success.

2. I was very inspired by this video, by how even though there were so many people in Josh Lafazans life who thought of community college as a bad thing he still went through with it and proved himself and now look at him, very successful.

3. There was a part I related to, which was the part where people thought community college was below standards. My Grandpa is one who thinks community college is below me and he doesn't believe what I want to go to school for is right for me either, but me being who I am, I will make sure I make a successful life for myself to prove him wrong.

4. I don't think there was anything I disliked about this video, I actually found it very interesting.

5. I have benefitted from going to community college by having time to work and save up money. Since I am still in high school I am getting college credits for free which is a big help for my future so I can save more money and get an early start on my future compared to others.

6. My greatest accomplishment is my dog, I saved up and bought her myself at 16. I pay for all her vet appointments and needs, and she is like my bestfriend, I cant go anywhere without her. The picture below is the day I got her.

1. One thing I found interesting was how Lafazans saved over one hundred thousand dollars by attending community college first before going on to finish his bachelors and now his masters.

2. One thing that inspired me about this video was the opening statement about the celebrities who started at community colleges. It is wonderful to see people start at small schools and continue on doing amazing things with their career.

3. Like myself, Josh Lafazans also was ridiculed for attending a community college. His friends and the people in his community were unsupportive of him which I can relate to. I am 27 years old so me attending school (again) causes people to question why I am back in school and why I chose this route instead of a University. Lafazans said it best though, “No body is too good for Community College.”

4. I cannot find anything within the video that I did not like.

5. I have benefited from community college because as a single mom it is far more affordable for me and also offers a lot of flexibility as I still work.

6. My proudest moment has been becoming a mom. It is a challenge but I know at the end of the day, I do it all to better our future.

What did you find interesting about this video?

I think it is interesting how famous and popular celebrities went to community college at some point in their lives, especially at Harvard.

Did anything about this video inspire you? Why or why not?
I am not sure if anything inspired me about this video because I feel like I am learning more than I am motivated about community college.

What points shared in this video were you able to relate to?
The high school flunking joke. When I was still in school, I struggled with (still do) understanding what I am learning. It was hard to understand verbally about any topic, Math, Science, English, and so on. After struggling many times before, I thought I wouldn’t be good enough and fail. When I was in 6th grade, I received a failing grade on my report card. It was the first one I had after the 1st or 2nd semester. I was devastated when I saw it because I was a good student with good grades back in elementary school. To fix this, I had to make corrections to bring that fail up to a pass. It taught me to become better, even if I struggle to understand because I have the help and support I need.

Was there anything about this video that you did not like? Please explain.
I am not sure what to dislike about the video. I actually enjoyed it all.

How do you feel you have benefited from attending a community college?
I would feel like I have to take responsibility to work extra hard to achieve my goals.

My proudest moment so far is graduating high school. Me and one of my cousins celebrated together because she graduated college. I have never felt so blessed to have all of the people who care about me and was there for me when I need help with school. Even though I have autism, I have completed the first chapter in my educational life and moved on with college right away.

I think what related to me here was the relation between him and I when people always downgrade you as a person when wanting to attend a community college. It seems to have become the requirement to just head off right to a university, and I got criticized for a while about wanting to go to community college.
4. I liked all of it and the several well established points that he made throughout the video.
5. As of now, I feel like I'm benefitting by saving tons of money and staying local to help give me more time to get my life on track by going to community college.
6. Besides graduating high school, I think my proudest accomplishment has to be when my art got into the NC State Fair and won 2nd place somewhere else back in 6th grade.

This video inspired me to go after my associates degree instead of going to a 4 year when I graduate high school especially because of how much the speaker accomplished at a community college.
3. I think I was able to relate to how people view community college and the people that attend community college. A 4 year is like the Krusty Krab and community college is the Chum Bucket. People prefer the Krusty Krab because of its good reputation and its what we've been raised to believe is the better choice. However, going to a community college and seeing for myself how much money I can save and transfer out to a university of my dreams proves otherwise.
4. There is nothing in this video that I do not like. This video makes me feel proud of my decision to attend a community college.
5. I feel I have benefited from a community college by saving myself money and time.
6. My greatest accomplishment was going through with the track team in 9th grade even though I was not very athletic. I ended up making a friend so it was not that bad.

Taking college-level courses through JCC has allowed me to experience what it's like to have a somewhat flexible study schedule which I have to plan out almost completely on my own. I have to find time with band, work, and friends where I can work on my schoolwork.
6. I don't have a good picture for this but in December I was offered a membership contract with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2020 DCI Summer Tour! I am super excited that all of my practicing has paid off and that I get to do what I love for a whole summer!

1. I found that I am doing the right thing by saving hundreds of thousands of dollars.
2. This video did inspire me to keep pushing through college and to never give up because there is hope.
3. I can relate to the view points of community college, because sometimes I regret not going to a university. I regret going to a university sometimes because with community college you have to have self discipline and it' s really no change.
4. I do not have anything I do not like about this video.
5. I feel that by attending community college I have saved more money in the future and got a sense of time management and responsibilities.
6. This may not be my proudest accomplishment, but I was happy at this time in my life and any time in my life that I am happy is a accomplishment. I had completed my sweet 16 all by myself with minimal help.

1. I found it interesting that the community college's main intent is to be transferred to a 4 year school.
2. The video isn't really inspiring to me because i have my goals in life, and i don't need someone else to tell i can achieve them. I already know that.
3. i can relate with the idea of saving money by attending community college. that is the whole reason i chose to attend JCC, but i do plan on attending a 4 year school after high school.
4. It was a bit lengthy, maybe cut the filler material a bit.
5. I'm saving money and acquiring credits that i will need when i transfer.
6.

What interested in the most about this video was that Queen Latifah and Hailey Berry both attended community college. I was also interested by all the classes the speaker was able to take and all the different fields he got to try just by going to a community college.

What Inspired me the most was that this young man decided to take his experiences and share them with a group of individuals in order to encourage them through their education journey.

I was able to relate to the financial aspect, my husband is in college at Full Sail, die to his tuition we are already in debt. Going to JCC has allowed him to focus on his studies because he doesn’t have to stress about my schooling being paid for.

This was a pretty solid video, there really wasn’t anything I didn’t like. He spoke about things are true and accurate and I hope he can inspire young adults to follow their own path.

I feel as though I am able to benefit from community college because I will be able to get all my pre-reqs done, by the time I am done I will have graduated with a degree to get into the workforce and will also not have to be in school long to obtain my BS in Nursing.

My husband, He has given me two great boys, he is my friend and he allows me to stay home and focus on school. He is everything plus more!

1. What I thought was interesting is the famous people who attended a community college. That makes me feel better about my decision to enroll at JCC.
2. I was inspired by his story and how he fought through the hate and chased his dreams.
3. I was able to relate to the amount of money being saved when attending a community college. Universities can be very expensive and not everyone can afford it.
4. I liked the whole video, wasn't anything to dislike.
5. I feel its been a good transition for me. I don't think I was prepared for a 4 year university, but now I'm ready.
6. Honestly I don't have a moment where I'm extremely proud of myself. Yeah, graduating high school is cool but everybody does it. I'll be proud of myself when I graduate college and/or get a good paying job.
Sean Bradfield

1. I thought it was interesting that I am saving much more money than I originally thought I was, and also that many famous people and even the speaker attended community college.
2. Yes many aspects of it did. The video swayed me and affirmed to me that I am doing the right thing by attending community college and continue working a full-time job to make ends meet.
3. Yes, the speaker went through many of the same or similar situations that I find myself currently in.
4. The only part of the video I disagreed with was the way he valued going to such prestigious colleges, community college is supposed to save money, why would you go to such an expensive college? That would completely ruin the point of the affordability of community college in the first place.
5. I have benefitted not just financially. But also experiencing what it is like to work a full-time job thanks to the online opportunities that JCC offers, but also learning to support myself and also have the motivation to continue.
