1. Comprehensible Input Hypotheses- is a series of five interrelated hypotheses by Krashen, ( Acquisition Learning Hypothesis, Natural Order Hypothesis, Monitor Hypothesis, Input Hypothesis, and Affective Filter Hypotheis.
2. The monitor hypothesis states "that although most language is acquired we can use learned language to monitor or inspect what we acquire and the correct errors" (Wright, 51).
3. The affective filter hypothesis "controls how much comprehensible input gets through to the learner" (Wright, 52)
4. The developmental interdependence suggests that "language and literacy skills can be transferred from one language to another" (Verhoeven, 1994, https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1467-1770.1994.tb01112.x).
5. The zone of proximal development theory (ZPD) states "children can reach a higher level of performance with the support of an adult or other more knowledgeable person" (Wright, 57).
