Thoughts:
1. Exploration has played a large role in the progression of humanity due to it enabling the range of knowledge for our species
2. There are multiple purposes and goals to human exploration, whether it being related to survival, for the advancement of technology, or just to quench our curiosities, etc.
3. Although exploration has yielded both positive and negative effects for humanity, it is difficult for humanity to really develop and extend our boundaries if we make the deliberate choice to remain static and not explore.

Questions:
1. During the age of discovery, it was a common goal for many European nations to venture out into the 'unknown world' to conquer new territory and bring back certain riches. However, this was not started by many nations simultaneously, but rather started by one and influenced the rest. What prompted exploration to be the main trend of European politics back then?
2. There is no finite boundary to exploration, as no human on planet Earth has all the answer to every single phenomenon happening in the universe. Moreover, it seems that there is no definite boundary to the universe(or so it seems as determined by 21st century technology). Then is there such thing as the 'ultimate exploration' or 'enough exploration'?

Analogy:
Exploration is like the Pandora's box. We are always tempted to discover new things or answers to things that we do not know, but we are tempted to commit evil acts during the process if it means either we will be getting observable profit from it or if it seems the exploration will be made more successful. However, there is still a tinge of hope left during the process. We explore with a small hope that at the end of the day, we might find new answers that we did not know about.
