History

This organization was created in an online virtual chat room made up of over 200 kids looking for change in their communities. Eventually they decided to become Kids for Change and organized the peaceful rebellion, inspired by Malala Yousafzai, Martin Luther King Jr., the Recess Everyday act, and Gandhi. So on September 1, 2030 all the kids in the group Kids for Change went on strike, not even leaving their homes, and carried out nonviolent protests and marches trying to bring awareness to their issue.

Their Demands

Kids for Change’s first purpose was to have universal education for all, in an approach that allowed the children of their world to get what they need and to enjoy it. For example, some of their requests were to be able to have free school; with health support and lunch; have minimum homework; and they wanted to go to school at 9 am and leave at 3:30 pm; with only 7 months in and 5 months out of school. They also wanted to have different stages of school. The first stage would be from age 6-18 and this would teach them the skills they need to survive and to help the world grow to be a better place. It'd also allow them to look into new interests. This would be enough for any basic to important job in the world that’d pay well. Then they'd have at least 1 gap year to explore the world and/or have jobs if they needed to support their families or gain work experience. Finally the students would get to go to a free specialization school if they wanted for the second stage, they could do this multiple times if needed and would allow them to do any profession they qualified for in their field, all very well paying. Once they graduated they'd get to live their lives.

Its Resolution

It took 13 weeks but eventually the United Nations agreed to meet with the 6 leaders of the Kids for Change Movement; Dalia Rivers; Akari Nakamura; Julian Rodriguez; Lagaya Santos; Abeba Acheampong; and Isabella Chiara; in the U.N base in New York City. The U.N was able to meet the requirements of the movement and an act passed so that ALL countries in the U.N would be obliged to share resources and make sure that if kids chose, they could go to these government schools. Now all kids are given this chance across the world and have control over the way they learn. September 1 is now a holiday remembering the way kids took action for change and their many positive impacts, in fact the act made by the U.N helped end the brutal Target Labor War (see Target Labor War article of 2026) by giving more rights to others. Kids for Change is still an organization today, advocating for rights of children around the universe, in a variety of ways.
