Alexandre Dumas was a popular French author in the nineteenth century. The Three Muskateers and the Count of Monte Cristo are two of his works. Dumas penned The Count of Monte Cristo to exact revenge on his father, Alexandre Dumas, a black general who was betrayed by Napoleon during the French Revolution. Dumas' father served in the army with Napoleon, and when Napoleon began to consolidate power on his route to becoming emperor, Dumas' father continued to serve him, but his physical appearance and devotion to the republic made Napoleon uneasy. He was largely crippled, blind in one eye, and momentarily deaf when he was released from prison in 1801 causing Dumas to write the said novel on behalf of his father.

He was wrongfully imprisoned for thirteen years without proper trial. Now, after those years have gone to waste, he has came back for the people that had wronged him for revenge. On how he spent his time in prison and how Faria helped him escape and became the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, that's what excited me the most.

The theme of The Count of Monte Cristo is to never give up hope and the theme of Blessings is to be willing to open yourself up to others. Meaning of this is you should always believe in hope even if you think it's impossible, it can be possible as long as you believe and try your best. "It's better to try and fail rather than not even trying". I loved the revenge, redemption and love in the story but what caught my eye is the lesson/theme behind the story of The Count of Monte Cristo.

In the story of the Count of Monte Cristo, it shows how unjust and incompetent the justice system is. It can be compared to the government in France at that time. It was presented in the story how Edmond Dantès was sentenced to prison without any trial. He was only suspected of treason because he was framed by Fernand Mondego. This conveys a social issue that happens because of the unfair ways that it affects people, which is why Edmond, in the story, resorts to revenge because of it.

From the book/novel of 'The Count of Monte Cristo', I had noticed one of the sociocultural values they have is that people who are in the lowest rank have little to none value, meanwhile those who are in the high class are admired and respected. Associating that with what happened to Edmond Dantès, he was betrayed by his cohorts and was sent to prison. It was only then when he had been told about the treasure by priest Abbé Faria was he given a second chance to live a better life. This social issue is one that can be found to all of our countries.

The Count of Monte Cristo is about the tale of revenge. The novel's main character, Edmond Dantès, was sentenced to thirteen years in jail for a crime he did not commit. There, he learns about a vast treasure hoard hidden on the Isle of Monte Cristo, and he vows not only to escape, but also to find the treasure and use it to pay back those who wrongfully imprisoned him. While Dantes first believes that his desire for vengeance is both just and in accordance with God's plan, he soon realizes that vengeance has unintentional repercussions. Finally, he realizes that fate and justice will be fulfilled not by his human interference, but by a God-ordained future that he cannot predict.

Destruction is not always the way, and instead just continue to do good in life. We can see this when Edmond decided not to destroy Château d'If, as he promised to Faria to only do things for good. Another lesson I learned is to always think and plan before you do something. We can see this in Edmond as he had an intricate plan of getting Villefort and Danglars caught red-handed, and arrested.

Edmund doesnt know how to read and write thats why he wasnt able to know the content of the letter which was then a plan of rebellion by Bonaparte. He lost his trust in God after what had happened to him because he thought that God was never there when he needed help and justice. When his priest friend died, he had the chance to escape. After escaping, he traveled to the island of Monte Cristo to find the treasure. He considered his fortune as a gift from God. After finding the treasure, he went back to Marseilles and disguised himself as an Italian priest. He used the treasure to punish those people who have hurt him and made his life miserable.

The Count of Monte Cristo is a great story about Edmond Dantes' revenge against those who wronged him, and while Dantes was once a good man, spending 13 years trapped in a nightmare-like prison of suffering changed him and filled him with a thirst for vengeance. Usually, in revenge stories, the person enacting the revenge never succeeds so as to teach the audience that you should never take revenge on anyone; however, at the end of the movie, Dantes succeeds in getting rid of his enemies and leaves his hatred-filled self behind him. The ending of the movie beautifully showed Dantes claiming that he will redeem himself, saying that "All that was used for vengeance will now be used for good," and in my opinion, the film ends on a high note, teaching the audience that love is stronger than revenge and that God will give you the justice that you need and that you just have to wait for it.

This man named Edmond Dantes was falsely accused of treason, and because of that he is being sent to the prison island named Chateau d’If, with Edmond being there for 13 years, he eventually met another inmate who taught him about the hidden treasures on an inhabited island in Monte Cristo, he eventually escaped and later he finds the hidden treasure. When he finally discovered the hidden treasure, he became rich and named the Count of Monte Cristo and planned on taking revenge on the people who took part in putting him in prison. Edmond did such terrible things to people because the thought of revenge and redemption was all part of his plan ever since he was in prison. But as time goes by, his plan became a way for him to realize that there will always be a person who will be there for him and love him.

The Count of Monte Cristo is a story about revenge. The main character in this novel is Edmond Dantes who was imprisoned for thirteen years for a crime that he did not even commit, due to the cowardice of four men: his envious colleagues Danglars, Fernand, and Caderousse, as well as the corrupt crown prosecutor Villefort, who falsifies Dantes' case to further his own career. Dantes' false imprisonment was painful since it takes away everything he loves: his job success, his loving fiancée, and his generosity toward others, for in jail he becomes spiteful, promising to harm those who mistreated him. However, while Dantes first feels that his desire for revenge is both just and in accordance with God's plan, he soon realizes—sometimes too late—that wrath has unintended consequences which includes causing harm to innocent individuals Dumas demonstrates that justice and retribution are not equivalent by tracing Dantes' complicated revenge and the progression of his beliefs on fate and mortality. A man who values justice will not pursue retaliation in a systematic manner; instead, he will leave others to their destiny, allowing God to decide their punishment.

In the story, Edmond Dantes finds himself imprisoned for a crime he did not commit and takes justice into his own hands.

The themes of The Count of Monte Cristo revolved around social injustice, revenge, and God's will. Edmond Dantès, the main character in the novel, was falsely accused of treason and imprisoned for thirteen years without trial. While being imprisoned, he learned about the hidden treasure on an island in Monte Cristo. He decided to escape and search for the hidden treasure, as well as take revenge on those who were responsible for his imprisonment. When he managed to escape and discover the hidden treasure, he became wealthy and was given the name "Count of Monte Cristo." Dantès took justice into his own hands because he was disappointed by society's justice system. He aspires to carry out justice where he believes human justice has failed. He planned to punish those who wrongfully imprisoned him in the way he believed they should be punished, by destroying everything dear to them, just as they had done to him. Dantes initially believed that his thirst for revenge was God's will, but he soon recognized that justice would be served not by his revenge, but by God's plan. In this story, I noticed and realized a lot of things. In today's society, the majority of people who face injustice are those who are poor and uneducated. Those people are unable to fight for their rights because they lack privileges and knowledge. And lastly, I realized that whoever suffers injustice receives justice from God.

The Count of Monte Cristo is a fantastic and enthralling film that shows how cruel and unfair the justice system is to Edmond Dantes.
Edmond Dantes couldn't have asked for more. He has a beautiful fiancee, Mercedes, and a beautiful life ahead of him. However, in just one snap of a finger, all of those dreams were shattered when his best friend, Fernand, betrayed him just because of his jealousy. Villefort ordered Dantes' imprisonment in the Château d'If despite knowing his innocence. The movie/book perfectly discusses how power can change and control something. It can be used wrongly by someone who has this. For instance, one can easily point a finger at those who are innocent for their own benefit. They can manage to get away from their crimes and live as if there was no dirt on their hands. Also, with the help of having power, justice can be achieved, just like how Dantes put the three men in the situations they deserved.

The Count of Monte Cristo goes back in 1815 and the whole story tells us about the character Edmond Dantès, who is a young and honest man with a potential. Something took over Dantes, where he got secretly imprisoned in solitary confinement in the infamous Chateau d'If that no one has been able to escape from this prison. For many years in the prison, Dantès met Abbé, but died later on when they were almost free. Dantès never quit and he manages to escape successfully, and when he managed to escape, he located the island where a treasure is hidden. Dantès was able to find the hidden treasure and he was staggered by the intense amount of the wealth in it. As he tooks himself back to the society, he simply renamed himself to Monte Cristo. In his new name, Monte Cristo set new goals for his own way of getting justice, revenge. Monte Cristo plans to take revenge back on those people who were responsible for his imprisonment. We people might have sufferings but if we were in Monte Cristo's situation, we'll find ways to get justice back to us and the most common one is taking revenge back. Revenge can be good, but mostly bad since at the end, it can greatly affect your life and may end yourself loosing more and more until you realized that what you did was completely wrong.

The Count of Monte Cristo is set in the nineteenth century. Constant battles have resulted in a cruel and vicious civilization, with more troops than individuals who can read. Affected people have no choice but to hope, just like the moment when Mercédès didn't give up on Edmond and Abbé didn't give up on gaining freedom. The presence of God was repeatedly acknowledged throughout the film. Ironically, untruths abounded during a period when almost everyone was Catholic. The primary characters each lied in their own direction, yet it influenced nearly everyone they've ever known. Their wealth is the only thing that allows them to flee. Riches have the opportunity to perform God's work, and Edmond chooses vengeance. With the broken system, The Count of Monte Cristo as well as the others are free to roam after an escape since the system of that period is not yet established, despite the fact that the prosecution is. Topped with a deep and gloomy quotation, “I’m a count, not a saint”, these words signify that virtuousness is the rarest treasure we can find in this demoralized world.

It was presented in the story how Edmond Dantes was sentenced to prison without any trial and planned his revenge on someone who wrongly accused him of treason. This shows a social issue that arises as a result of the inequitable ways in which it affects people, which is why Dantes resorts to revenge in the novel.

Nueros Kenneth A.The story of the Count of Monte Cristo is an adventure story that takes place during the historical events of 1815 to 1838. It is a is a story of revenge and redemption, but Dumas presents both revenge and redemption as being motivated by love. At the age of nineteen, Edmond Dantès seems to have the perfect life. He is about to become the captain of a ship, he is engaged to a beautiful and kind young woman, Mercédès, and he is well liked by almost everyone who knows him. This perfect life, however, stirs up dangerous jealousy among some of Dantès’s so-called friends. Danglars, the treasurer of Dantès’s ship, envies Dantès’s early career success; Fernand Mondego is in love with Dantès’s fiancée and so covets his amorous success; his neighbor Caderousse is simply envious that Dantès is so much luckier in life than he is.

In today's society, the majority of people who face injustice are those who are poor and uneducated. the story how Edmond Dantes was sentenced to prison without any trial and planned his revenge on someone who wrongly accused him of treason.

The Count of Monte Cristo is a story that mainly revolves around one thing, which is revenge. It began with Edmond Dantes, our protagonist of the story. He had a fiance named mercedes and everyone loved him. But There were three people that lead to his downfall and imprisonment for fourteen years. These three are Fernand Mondego, Baron Danglars, and Villefort. Fernand Mondego is jealous of Edmond Dantes because he wants to marry Mercedes. Danglars was jealous because of the succes of Dantes, so they both got the authorities attention to report that Dantes is a traitor. When he was put in court, he was made guilty, because of Villefort, who cared about his promotion more than the innocence of Dantes. So then Edmond Dantes lost his fiance, his riches, and his freedom. He got imprisoned for fourteen years, but an old italian priest who goes by Abbe Faria got to spend time with Dantes. He taught Dantes everything he needed to know, and they became best friends. But after several years in prison, he passes away from old age. With a makeshift knife and the corpse of his best friend in a sack, he decides that it is time to escape. He puts his best friend in his own bed to look like he's asleep, and then he puts himself in the sack where his best friend originally was. He got thrown out of prison to the sea and now he's free. He gets to a ship and sails to Monte Cristo. He finds the treasure and now he's rich. Dantes buys the island and the title Count, and now Dantes is the Count of Monte Cristo. At this time, he decides that it was time to plot against the three people who ruined his life. First was Fernand Mondego, who is now the Count de Morcef. Dantes turns the tables and ruins the reputation of Fernand Mondego, then he tells Mercedes that he ruined her relationship with you, and then he takes his own life. Second is Villefort. Dantes' revenge against him is very complicated, but to summarize, he plotted everything to make Villefort go insane, and it successfully works. The last one is Danglars, the one who started it all. Dantes' plot is to imrison him just the way that He did to Dantes, and it successfully works, but Dantes was not satisfied. He felt guilt towards his actions and what he did, and all the lives he has taken. To find forgiveness towards himself, Dantes releases Danglars.
