I've been a cyberbully before in 8th or 9th grade. I would say mean things about people and post my friends' photos without their permission. I had an awakening and realized just how harmful it was to the people who were on the other end. Although I was not saying truly terrible things about them (moreso in a joking manner, as part of a meme or a format like that), they expressed their embarrassment and their disdain for my actions. I felt extremely bad about it, and I learned that my online actions have real consequences - even though someone is not there physically to receive it, there's always someone on the other end of that phone screen, and their feelings are valid.
