They felt that parading women around to show off their "perfect" bodies and looks, were making other women feel inferior for not being as pretty. They then began to throw feminine stereotyped objects into trashcans called "freedom cans" to show their independence from men. They threw high heels, lipstick, dresses, curlers, and bras into the bin. Some women believed that the bras were set on fire before the trash cans were lit. Riot Grrrl is a rock sub genre specifically for women fighting anti feminism. Some of the best Riot Grrrl bands in my opinion were, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Babes in Toyland, and Hole.
