When I was younger, before quarantine, my mom used to actually go and shop for groceries in person. My brother and I would go with her every time and mess around; I'd sit down on the bottom of the cart because at the time I weighed less than nothing, and we'd all have fun just going around. Whenever we got home, my dad would freak out that we spent so much money on junk food... Sorry, dad.

Right before my 10th birthday, my mom and I finally convinced my dad to let us get a cat. We went through many different kitties but never committed to adopting one and decided to go see this little weird brown tabby kitten that only my mom had seen. After a long, stressful journey, we finally made it to the Petco where she was being held for adoption at... and I fell in love with my sister. So now I have a cat. She's turning seven.

I was in 3rd grade when I saw my first Warrior Cats book at the library. I knew my cousin used to read them, so I decided to give it a shot. I should mention, at the time I was afraid of cats, so I figured reading these books would take away that fear-- and it did! Warriors became the number one hole for my money from ages 7-14. I don't read the books anymore, but I still know too much about it.

It was 2020. I just came back from my last school field trip of the year, in 6th grade, and suddenly we're being sent home for a few days. A few days turned into a few months, then a few years. Admittedly, my mental health was complete trash in quarantine as I had zero social interaction and was severely depressed. I completely failed my 7th grade year (yes, I DID!) but my teachers let me prove myself when we went back in 8th grade.

I got a golden doodle puppy when I was 3. I was scared of her, she was scared of me, but over time we grew to love each other. She was like my sister, like my parents other kid. She was such a huge part of our family. She shared a birthday with my brother. In 2018, on a Thursday, she passed away when she was only 7. That was probably the first time I'd experienced grief, I was 10.

Towards the end of my freshman year, my grandpa passed away. I was never really close to him because he lived in Hawaii, and he was never really close with my mom either for... reasons. Then, that summer, my mom and I flew to Hawaii for a week. I met my aunt and uncle that I had never met before, saw my favorite aunt again. We had a celebration of life for my grandpa, and I should mention he was very vocal about weed being legal in Hawaii .. so yes, there was potheads at the ceremony. It was weird. But I connected (ish) with a side of the family I never really met before, so that was cool.

The first time my brother hugged me since we were little was one random night. We aren't the hugging type. He was going through some rough stuff and his mental health was awful at the time, and as a result I was really stressed out because I didn't want to lose my brother. We were texting about it, and then he came to my room and hugged me. He promised he'd do better. I don't know why that stuck with me, but it did.

So... my first AP exam! AP World History, the death of me in my sophomore year (although, looking back I would much rather be there than in APUSH at the moment). I was so stressed out over it for no reason. I never turned an assignment in late and I understood everything, but I thought I 100% would fail. I studied for a few hours and then was forced into bed the night before. And then I ended up getting a 4, so that was a lot of useless stress.

This movie changed the trajectory of my life when I was 3. Being so for real right now, I was genuinely a changed man after watching this movie. My life has never been the same. These weirdos have given me such bad brain rot over them it's actually insane. In all seriousness, the X-Men actually helped me a lot. I was always such an insecure person- so were they, but they always seemed so cool, and that made me realize it's okay to be different.

Children on social media- let's talk about it. I downloaded an app I probably should not have had at age 8, I met a group of friends my age who I am still friends with to this day! They shaped my life and made it better in many ways, if I didn't have them during quarantine I'd be a lost cause.
