Les Mangashi sont des revues hebdomadaires ou mensuelles qui contiennent des mangas.
Il y a des revues pour les enfants, pour les adolescents, d'autres pour adulte.
Elles ne coûtent pas cher 200 ou 300 yens (1.40 ou 2.10 €) et on les trouve partout.
Les Japonais aiment les lire dans le métro.
Voici la couverture d'une de ces revues : le Weekly Shônen Jump. Les éditeurs demandent aux lecteurs quel manga ils préfèrent. Les lecteurs envoient des petits coupons qui indiquent aux éditeurs leurs mangas préférés.
Ainsi les mangas qui obtiennent le plus de voix sont prolongés, les autres sont arrêtés.
