         <title>Venus Flytrap</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First up is the most infamous carnivorous plant that many know about, the Venus Flytrap. This (as the name suggests) mainly feeds off flies, but larger insects and small mammals are even known to be caught in it.<br><br><strong><em>How it works<br></em></strong>On top of this carnivorous plant are trigger hairs that stick out of the plant. If touched hard enough to bend them, the two lobes of the leaf snap shut, trapping anything inside. <br><br>The prey will then try to move about, trying to escape - this will then cause it to close even tighter, and eventually it will secrete digestive fluids to take the nutrients from the prey. <br><br>It will then take 5 - 12 days for the trap to open up again and it will drop the remaining exoskeleton of the insect.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Nepenthes Rajah</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This plant has been labelled as the largest carnivorous plant that has been discovered. This carnivorous plant is the pitcher type; it is cup-shaped and holds digestive juices along with water at the bottom of it. Nepenthes Rajah generally grows in soil that is continually moist and loose.<br><br><strong><em>How it works<br></em></strong>The red, pointy rim surrounding the top of the plant contains special sweet, tasty nectar that insects are attracted to. As they feed on this nectar, the insects will more than likely fall into the trap due to it being very slippery.<br><br>Once they are inside they will have a difficult time to escape due to the interior also being slippery. From there, the prey will drown and the digestive juices will start to break down the insects. only the exoskeleton will be left.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Catopsis Berteroniana is a not-so-obvious 'tank' carnivorous plant. It may look like a regular succulent at first, but it requires a lot of phosphorous and nitrogen. This plant mainly feeds on flying insects.<br><br><strong><em>How it works<br></em></strong>This carnivorous plant produces a sticky white powder that reflects UV-light. Insects are able to see UV-light better and are attracted to it, thus flying insects end up going into the tank, falling in due to the powder.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Stylidium</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stylidium is known as a trigger-plant. For a long time, it was thought that this plant was not carnivorous and instead it was mistakes that it uses its mechanism for defensive purposes. However, it was later discovered to have digestive enzymes.<br><br><strong><em>How it works<br></em></strong>Coming out of the middle of the flower is a small <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scape_(botany)">scape</a>, and at the end of it there is a large spot where it has sticky hairs coming out of it. The insect gets attracted to this part of the flower and gets caught in it, and finally suffocate the insect. It then uses its digestive enzymes to break down the insect.</div>]]></description>
