Louis Tomlinson is an English Indie-Rock/Pop musician. I am influenced by the raw, guitar sound he uses. A lot of his songs are guitar heavy layered with his raw vocals and "distinctive voice—raspy and heavily accented with his Doncaster dialect" (Sagun Shrestha, 2022). I am also inspired by his emotive lyricism. He writes both from personal experience and...

Billie Eilish is a Pop/Alt-Pop musician. I am influenced by her musical style/sound and techniques. One specific technique that has inspired me is how she uses 'random sounds' in her songs. For example she recorded drills at the dentist and implemented that into her song 'Bury a Friend' and in 'Bad Guy' there is crosswalk sounds used in the chorus. This has influenced me to listen differently to sounds that are not typically musical.

Oasis is probably one of the biggest influences on Louis Tomlinson's music. When asked about his influences Louis said “An obvious one is Oasis, gotta be for me the best band,” (Joe Taysom, 2019). This influence is also very evident in his music, specifically on his debut album 'Walls', on which Noel Gallagher (Oasis Guitarist/Songwriter), is credited on a song, due to similarities.

(Kaufman, 2021) She has talked about how Marina's method of writing about made up character's has inspired her lyricism "Marina has talked about how her lyrics use different characters and situations she comes up with. It doesn’t all have to be what you’re going through at that exact time.”

This influence can be seen in her music, specifically the similarity between the intro of Billie's song 'Ocean Eyes' and the song 'Runaway'. This likeness is seen through the similar vocal intros of both songs and both artists using soft/airy vocals throughout many songs.
