First, this was the only opportunity, and they didn't really have a choice to work there. Next, 30 to 40 women or children have to stay in one area. I mean you wouldn't even have enough privacy to change. Then, the people living here work 11 to 12 hours per day, 6 days a week, AND they only have 1 day of rest. Finally, they are about 16 to 22 years old they should be able to move out and enjoy life. Technology can be anything that makes our lives easier. It can be anything from a pencil to a TV. The value it brings all depends on the item itself. A pencil is important because we need to write; but have you ever thought about what would happen if we didn't have pencils? We would have to write with a quill and ink. We would have to draw with colors from berries. The girls in the mill were treated unfairly. They were not treated fairly and did not get to do things that normal people their age would do. There are about four segments of becoming an adult. When you turn 13 you are a teenager. When you turn 16 you can drive. When you turn 18 you are an adult. And when you turn 21 you can basically do anything you want. Some of these girls were 21 and they still had to do the same things girls ages 13-18 did. I know that technology isn´t just computers and wires, it´s things in our daily lives that help us, like a pencil. But then again there is the other kind of technology, like computers. I think computers are not good for us because to much screen time hurts your eyes and/or head. The technology that helps peoples lives are VERY important!  So really, some parts of technology, like a pencil or machines to save lives are important, but computers and phones are just things to get addicted to and are not good for you. 
I think that the children working in the Mill is HORRIBLE! Just because women are not as perfect as men, (though we are all perfect,) doesn´t mean we should be treated differently. The Women in the Mill should not be having to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to work everyday. They should not be having to leave their lives and families in Ireland to work. Since there wasn't many workers at the time, farm families lended out there young girls to go work. In my opinion the girls after a while did not seem to be treated fairly.
