I thought the book was very interesting, but I had a hard time connecting and relating to her story. But, I loved learning about her perspective and feeling even though it wasn't something I could relate to. I also loved hearing about her feelings and emotions specifically during the protests our country was going through. It was a great source at giving me insight into how others may be feeling.

I found the environment and support system she had to be interesting. I feel with hope that and trust in yourself that it is definitely easier to accomplish something. I know people that were in similar situations as her and I feel that it is hard to get a grasp on hope.
