(1) I have never possessed any peculiar abilities(superpowers or strange deformities). In the book there is a girl named Emma Bloom (one of Miss Peregrine's peculiar children) who can produce fire with her bare hands. Obviously I cannot do that. Since the book is fantasy everything involving magical powers is not real, so it would be impossible for me to experience the ability to perform magical powers such as the ones described in the book, now or in the future. (2) I have never traveled back in time and stayed there before. In the book Jacob (the main character) travels back in time to a day that replays itself over and over again. As much as I would like to believe stuff like time travel exists, it does not, or at least there is no evidence that it does, so I have not and cannot experience anything like time travel. (3) And finally I have never had an experience with a magical being, like a hollowgast. In the book a hollowgast is a magical creature that hunts peculiar children and kills them. Luckily creatures like this do not exist so I will never have an experience with these creatures because a. (2) Setting - Londan, England, 19 century. 
(3) Conflict - Enola must find her missing mother all whilst running away from her brothers, trying to find the endangered missing marquess she has befriended, and adapting to the outside world.
(4) Theme - The theme of the book is about men treating women like the olden times, when women were just supposed to clean and cook not become master detectives like Enola. And yet in the end she got everything to work out only at the age of 16.
(2) I could not empathize with Enola because I have never had any of this happen to me before, I can only imagine how much pain and confusion she felt waking up to her mother missing on her 16th birthday. 
(3)In the beginning of the book Enola runs away from her brothers who have come to take care of her while her mother is missing. Mycroft (her oldest brother, and legal guardian) tries to force Enola to a girls boarding school that teaches manners to young ladies, because he believes Enola is not trained enough to be a proper young women in London.
