From an idea: the monsters; many concepts, skills and competencies are working on.
All starts with a short introduction to the concept. The monsters are introduced so that the children become familiar with them. From there, different resources are offered to work on the idea: a piece of film, a song and a story.
The three resources are very dynamic. This is so that students don't believe learning as boring, but as something natural.
Finally, some last activities to do at home with families are presented. They are very fun games that help turn all the information into meaningful learning.
I really liked the final idea of creating your own monster, as this enhances creativity. Also, for the more daring children, they are encouraged to give a little explanation about the monster they have created.
It's appreciated how teachers take into account that not all children have the same level or the same abilities and offer many different alternatives.

This activity also gives them the opportunity to be creative and to create their music. They will be able to make their own instruments, such a flute. Children can learn vocabulary and talk to each other about the parts of their face and finding it out together. In addition, innovative activities can be created, such as drawing their own monster and describing it with basic features, so that you can learn on this specific vocabulary visually and communicatively.

Today we're discussing one of the quarantine activites that la Vitxeta designed for their 1st year kids.
My favorite on by far was Let's move around, since it involves lot's of movement in addition to the content itself. It has many activities such as a video which works with animal vocabulary, a Simon says gameplay proposal...But my favourite activity is the one where you play a song where the kid can make movements according to the words or actions that are sung(jumping when it says jump!)
In my opinion these kind of activities are nice because it also involves kinesthetic learners!
This is the link to the activity: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JiqNhMpJjfLkLr5Q-uc31sX7SpluEP2Y/view

By adding pictures of their drawing process they are asked to describe how their clown are.
It may seem a very simple activity but the combination of having to imagine how your clown is and drawing it, using TIC sources and using physical vocabulary makes from a simple activity a complex one that involves many different ranges, improving them and also working in different areas assure kids motivation for at least on them.
This activity is suggested for grade four even if it seems a bit easy I think it's great since each kid is able to add as much things as he/she wants so there are no limits for those ones who get more involved with the activity.

I have choosen “Let’s move around “ because I think it’s a good way to learn English in a dynamic and fun way.
First, using the game of the animals it’s such a good idea because you can introduce the vocabulary in an oral form and in the same way in a visual form. Also, learning while you are playing facilitates meaningful learning.
Then, with the songs the kids are more motivated. Lots of times they are sitting in class but with this activity they move their bodies, they sing and they learn at once. Moreover, learning by imitating is an easy way to improve.
To sum up, “Simon says “ is an action game so as children play, they will learn the names of body parts and more words.

I have chosen this activity about the book "brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?". The story is about a narrator who asks different animals what they see; the animals respond that another animal is looking at them. The animals are described in terms of color: a brown bear, a red bird, a yellow duck, and a blue horse.
Therefore, through the story vocabulary about animals and colors are introduced jointly to the children in a simple but imaginative way,
Also, there is a song about the story that allows the teacher to work on repeating all this therms together rhythmically in a very fun context. So, I think it's a very interesting activity that can help students learn while having fun!

First of all, I liked that she makes a video, because for children it is much more visual. When she explain the story she has used many gestures. She has used a good intonation. In this way if a studient doesn’t understand what she is saying, it can be easier for him.It is a good idea to put down the story with drawings and little writing.

Personally, I think the activity of the ballon story i'ts the best.

The first reason is that the children have two resources to listen to the story, through a video or through a written story, also illustrated.

The second reason is that in the video, the teacher makes many expressive gestures in order that the kids can follow and understand the story.

Finally, while they are listening to a story, they are also learning a lot of vocabulary that the teacher repeats throughout the story.

For all this reasons I have chosen this activity.

All the activities are so interesting, but I have chosen this one because I think that working with the emotions is essential. Moreover, this is an activity that is usually done at the beginning of the class, so it's a good way to start.
Finally, I want to say that when I was doing the Practicum, children started English lessons with this song and they loved it.
