         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jess Seidl-<br>When students came to class, they would do an inquiry lab.  We would make Oobleck (cornstarch and water).  Students would have to experiment with it (touch it, try to pour it, place objects in it, stir it, etc.) and determine the properties of the substance.<br>They would have to decide if the substance was a solid, liquid, or gas, and justify their answer.<br>(Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid which means it acts as both a solid and a liquid depending on how you manipulate it). </div>]]></description>
