I've learnt how to write an academic essay using appropriate references.

I've also enhanced my skills in oral presentation which may help a lot in my future English presentation.

Have opportunities to practice oral English and also learn about academic writing, which is really useful throughout my college life. Most importantly, Felicia is quite gentle and patient to all of us!

The most impressive task in this course is the Assessment 2. It is the first time I have ever written something in academic English. I think it was difficult and I am not very satisfied with my writing, the content and the structure, because I find that my solution didn't linked with my question perfectly. However, after this task, I feel more confident about my academic writing in the later courses.

In the ELC 1013, I gained a lot of useful skills. The class not only taught me how to write academic articles, including vocabulary, paraphrasing, and citation techniques, but it also helped me improve my presentation skills. I learned how to make my speech drafts more conversational, use gestures effectively, and master stress and intonation. This course has boosted my confidence in public speaking and made me enjoy learning English even more. I’m grateful to my teacher and classmates for their support!

I learned to write a whole article, which contains reasonable structure and correct reference.

The ELC course has formed my academic writing habits. What impressed me most is the MEAL plan, which stands for main idea, evidence, analysis and lead out. This is a feasible and practical way of writing and I have applied this strategy in my paper of car class and other writings in university, making my writings comprehensive and organized. The ELC course has offered great help in my university English study and application.

Learning how to use google scholar and one search, which helps me a lot with my academy writing🤩🤩🤩. And I also tried to sign up for CILL Workshop!

It’s a really practical and wonderful experience during my semester one learning. I learned a lot of things about how to write the academic paper, such as structuring my paragraph, finding the academic resources and so on. I believe they will benefit my academic research in the future!

i guess the best learning experience this seminar is record assessment 2. It's one of group project and the process finished quickly. So I think it's a effective task, our group communicate for same task, that let me feel better than other assessments.
