Then relised  that there were 2,000  colinests and batteled the redcoats. 

The British took control of Concord without firing a shot. on may 15  1775 leaders from every colony held a meeting to figure out what to do.They chose George Washington, a farmer from Virginia, to be the commander in chief of the colonial army.

CHAPTER 5
(They were called the minute men because they were ready at any minute) 
 The minute man in Concord knew they were out numbered by the British so at 7 AM they decide to retreat to a near by hill. Then they decide to go back down and defend the town. 2 minute men and 3 British soldiers were killed. The colonists had defied by shooting at the British.
CHAPTER 6
Some minute men took over the main bridge to concord.   Minute men kept arriving at the Concord. The British decided to retreat because there were to many minute men. The minute men would stand by the road and shoot the British at all the angles. The minute men did not follow the tactics of war.

 CHAPTER 10
Massachusetts was now officially at war with British. More minute men arrived in Massachusetts to fight Britten. The minute men formed a circle surrounding Boston trapping the British. "Give me liberty or give me death" that was said by Patrick Henry May 10, 1775, convinced many colonists to go to war with Britten.

The regulars decided to retreat when they realized that 2,000 colonists had gathered in the town. About 1 mile east of Concord, the colonists attacked the regulars. Instead they used fighting techniques that they had learned from the Native Americans. The colonists were not following the rules of the battle. This angered and frightened the British. The British retreat turned into a run.
