A.             Questions on Case
1.When people are doing the information use, it is still based on information seeking. In your opinion, what is the difference or relationship between them? What should we keep in mind? What source will you use to do information seeking? 
2. The dubious assumption was mentioned in the book.What do you think about ‘only objective information is valuable’ and how do you avoid being subjective in your daily life or in study? Also,’objective information can be a transmitter of context’, do you agree? Can you give an example.
3. According to the five information seeking scenrios, all of them try to give up some information. The results of  information seeking are based on if this person is satisfied.And also there are some factors that will have some influence on the result, e,g time, pressure. How do people start information seeking without being bothered?

1.     What are some ways that people interact with information that is not ‘information seeking’? How do these examples show up in your own interaction with information?
2.     How can we better understand information behavior as a contextualized phenomenon? In other words, how can people focusing on HIB recognize the ways people’s surroundings, environment, identity, and social experience affect their information behavior?
3.     What is the purpose of defining information behavior? How do we balance the potential of over-specifying and closing off collaboration with cognate areas (e.g., psychology, learning theory) and underspecifying and not producing anything novel to Information Behavior specifically?

Yes, in life we will always unconsciously classify ourselves into certain groups and others will passively classify us into other groups. After learning to understand and know this, we can better understand how to deal with different people in our life. And it also allows us to avoid conflicts and arguments, which I personally think is very useful.
And social positioning theory can also be applied in business, for some businesses to attract their target users. I learned six-dimensional theory earlier, and there was a paper on how to apply six-dimensional theory to deal with indigenous people in Africa. That paper was very well written. And I think information behavior and six-dimensional theory go hand in hand. People can be divided into different groups through culture, and these different cultures predetermine their different information behaviors.
