Cohesion is the force of attraction between water molecules while adhesion is the force of attraction between water molecules and other substances. Capillary is the movement of water up on in the capillary tube. Polar or polarity is a molecule with a charge; water is a polar molecule.
The hydrogen end is slightly positive while the oxygen end is slightly negative. The slight negative charge on oxygen is attracted to the slight positive charge on hydrogen on another molecule. Each water molecule can form up to four hydrogen bonds. Water properties are due to its polarity and hydrogen bonding.

Water can be used for plants, in nature and in animals.
Plants~ used for photosynthesis (light stage), transport (the food in the phloem) and germination.
Nature~ water covers 75% of Earths surface, a majority of water is found in the oceans and approximately 3% is fresh water. People uses this for domestic uses and transportation.
Animals~ animals needs water to hydrate themselves, for digestion and excretion.
