In the beginning he shows his hate for robots and how he thinks their evil and a waste of space. Spooner gets informed that Dr. Alfred Lanning has committed suicide, spooner has to investigate this death by searching the doctors room. He then gets shocked when a NS5 Prototype attacks him out of nowhere then runs away. Detective Spooner is now partnered up with Dr. Susan Calvin a robot freak. There teemed up to find this rogue robot and figure out if this NS5 killed Dr Lanning. Could this robot be breaking the Three Laws of Robotics, watch the movie to find out.

-Del Spooner is a detective, he's had many body modifications by Dr Lanning due to various accident's. He is very stubborn at the beginning about proving himself right to the police station where he works at about rogue robots and how they can break the Three Laws of Robotics. By the end of the movie when he helps take down Viki he becomes more aware of why he hates robots and becomes a little more compassionate for them.


Sonny:

NS-5 Robot

Height: 6' 0"

-Sonny is a very human like robot due to his "father" Dr. Lanning. He was made to resemble humans. Sonny has the ability to dream real dreams and analyze peoples emotions and gestures. Although he looks completely like a robot he's portrayed very humanly. Sonny at the beginning was very scared and sad that he lost Dr. Lanning, and wouldn't admit that he did kill him. Sonny was built for the purpose to not follow the Three Laws of Robotics so that he could fulfil Dr. Lanning's wish.

There wasn't really any gadgets that was out of the ordinary apart from maybe a self driving car and of course NS4 and NS5 robots roaming the streets, many having to work or be a personal robot.

In real life doctors have not been able to recreate that well of a designed artificial limb. Spooner also had a couple ribs made By Dr. Lanning, all his procedures were done to look real unlike in real life a artificial limb really just looks like a robotic limb rather then real life like and functionability.

What's scary for humans is that all these robots are so similar to humans at some point it'll be hard to tell who's who.

The attitude towards AI in I, Robot is very highly appreciated, everyone in the movie are very dependable on robots. Robots in the movie are praised upon.

-Monica is a very elegant woman who mourns the lose of her child in a coma. She hates the idea of David at first as she sees it as a insult to her son. She later builds a strong relationship with David and gets attached to him just like a real boy.

As a kid this talking bear would be the best of friend, it just seems like every kids dream to have a talking teddy. Just like David and how he absolutely loved teddy as they had a very interesting bond as they are both made artificially. Teddy in the movie and bear teddies in real life are nothing similar to each other but would be cool to have a robot bear in real life.

For example, David was created to look so real that even humans cant tell the difference. Having that in our society can be pretty freaky as you cant know who is who. Another problem was what happens with the old robots once a new version comes out, in AI Artificial intelligence all they did was have a sickening show to destroy these robots in a evil way. But in I, Robot all they did was cram all the old robots in huge containers in the middle of nowhere, meaning there not fully destroyed and can and did come back to "life" because they are no longer anyone's property. This can raise a problem because what if these robots go rogue, we as humans are a little less safe with that problem happening.

I believe once you have passed or are passing there's no need to bring you back by replacing you with a robot, I feel like this could ruin a lot of relationships and can cause hate and sadness for human beings. I feel as robots that do that are a waste of money and space as there not even that useful, yes they are cool but they are not needed for personal replacement.


These movies have influenced me in AI as it seems very scary if these robots can go rogue or if they are made too human like and you cant tell if its real or a robot. I feel robots can be used for some task that is difficult for humans as a helper, not for everyday life or personal robots, I just feel like its not safe and not really needed. I hope that robots don't take over the world in the near future because as we saw in I, Robot its a crazy thing to witness.
