By breaking down these organic materials the Bioluminescent fungi make nutrients accessible to other decomposers such as the vent worms. With the light that this fungus has it can attract scavengers, decomposers, and small predators to nutrient rich areas.</p>]]></description>

These huge creatures have a heavy impact on the food web due to their size, diet and behaviors. These sea animals control the mid-level predator so by doing that they indirectly support primary consumers, and they prevent overflow disruptions in the food web. Without these leviathans the mid-level predator's population would most likely grow to be unchecked, which would lead to imbalances and the reduces of biodiversity.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>The climate in my ecosystem is like Frigid temperatures with hydrothermal microclimates. </p></li><li><p>The water is really cold usually around 1 to 4C (34 to 39 degrees Fahrenheit). The water here is also very salty with a salinity of about 35 parts per thousand. The water moves really slowly in most of the ecosystem. This ecosystem is found on the deep sea, way below where the sunlight can reach. At this level it's pitch black. Sine the sunlight doesn't reach this depth the water is completely dark. </p></li><li><p>This deep-sea ecosystem is located in the aphotic zone, so it receives no sunlight at all. </p></li><li><p>This ecosystem is a saltwater environment. </p></li><li><p>This ecosystem is not connected to a freshwater source. </p></li><li><p>In this deep-sea ecosystem seasonal changes are minimal compared to surface ecosystems because it is so far removed from sunlight, weather, and surface conditions. </p></li><li><p>If all primary consumers in this deep-sea ecosystem became extinct, the entire food web would collapse because energy and nutrients wouldn't flow properly. If the glow shrimp and abyssal filter feeders were extinct the energy would not transfer from producers to higher levels of the food web. </p></li><li><p>If all the decomposers in this ecosystem were removed, it would have serious impact on the food web. Decomposers like the vent worms and bacteria, break down dead plants, animals, and waste, recycling nutrients back into the ecosystem. Without them, everything would break down slowly or not at all.  </p></li></ol>]]></description>
