6^th grade students should have these skills in foreign language:

Comprehension of spoken text (listening):

1. Listen to audio recordings in a foreign language with the aim of understanding and familiarizing yourself with the culture and traditions of another country.

2. Communicate in the electronic space.

3. Participate in interactive international projects.

Comprehension of written text (reading):

1. Search for the necessary information in a foreign language in the electronic space.

2. Understand short, simple texts about everyday events if the text structure is clear and the language is simple.

Interaction and verbal expression (speaking):

1. Communicate with other speaker about the topics and situations of the program (start, maintain and end the conversation) in order to achieve a communicative goal.

2. Speak in a monologue: inform, tell, describe, to give reason.

3. Tell about everyday environment, places.

We used the curriculum of many lessons . İn our project we studied with I.T.C , ARTS, SOCİAL SCİENCES , TURKISH and ENGLİSH teachers in their lessons.

In spring the 6th grade students begin to study history of the 20th century, therefore we have decided to integrate our unique historical event into History, English, IT and Technology lessons and compare achievements of avation of Lithuania and of the world. Firstly, the students made groups and collected information of the historical event. Then, they had a discussion in Lithuanian and in English on the highlights of the event. Later, the students showed their creativity making models needed for a video and prepared for a role play. Moreover, they paid a visit to Vytautas Magnus War museum in Kaunas city, where the authentic ruins of the airplane as well as personal items of the pilots are exhibited. To make logos they integrated their IT skills and displayed them on the website. Finally, they made a poster and a video that was presented to the community of our school. In this project, students really deepened their knowledge about Lithuanian aviation and its achievements in the 20th century, expanded their vocabulary, improved their ability to collect and summarize information, learned to create attractive logos and models and work in a team. Activities in this project have enriched the children, because they can share the achievements of their nation with their peers from foreign countries.
