It was built for the Rainhill trials held by Liverpool &amp; Manchester railway in 1829, to choose the best design to power the railway. The rocket won.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>The train was designed by Robert Stephenson in 1829.<br><br></div><div>Rocket wasn’t the first steam locomotive, but it sure was the best ever made. It was the first to bring together several innovations to produce the most advanced locomotive of its day&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This steam locomotive became the template for most steam engines in the following 150 years. <br><br></div><div>The locomotive is now located at the science museum in London, England. <br><br></div><div>George Stephenson designed the rocket, and got a lot of credit for his magnificent work. Although he had designed several locomotives at earlier points of his life, none of them had ever been as great or advanced as this. <br><br></div>]]></description>
