I read this book during our Holocaust unit for some background information on the events that occurred. Rose Under Fire describes the life of Rose Justice, an ATA pilot during WWII. She is captured by enemy planes while in their territory and is brought to the concentration camp, Ravensbruck. There, she meets some unforgettable friends known as "rabbits" due to the experiments done on them by Nazi doctors.
