Clause as Qualifier

When doing tree diagrams, if there is a clause in the qualifier role of the nominal group do we just label it 'q/clause'? Or do we then also have to analyse that clause's constituents as well?

If the qualifier is expressed by a clause then you would draw the clause structure as well (and not use triangle notation)

In the folder for week 3 on learning materials, the nominal group worksheet and the word categories worksheet are the same. Would it be possible to upload the word categories worksheet please? Thank you :)

I've added the solution to the nominal group boundaries question - nobody pointed out to me that I had not uploaded the right file! In any case, I hope this is what you meant? This exercise was working on identifying nominal group boundaries, I've included PPs in [ ] and marked all ngps in yellow. Is this what you wanted?

Seminar 2 - lexical categories

I just realised the answers for seminar 2 were not posted to Learning Central so I've added them now as well, note that only the lexical category is given although you should now be able to work out the functional element each one expresses . Also these tree diagrams are basic ones from before we even started working on units below the clause so they are not detailed enough for the exam. I've attached the file here (solutions to lexical categories).
