For that, there are many reasons, one of which is that it can contribute to solving more pressing world issues like climate change and global warming. This is issue is not restricted to any geographical or political boundary and should be addresses by the global community. 
 
Due to the nature of developing countries, namely operating in primary and secondary industries and not having sufficient funds to implement environmentally friendly infrastructure, these countries would benefit greatly from such aid from developed countries, especially countries that have successfully internalised an environmentally friendly framework.

The developing country, after being aided by the developed country, becomes stronger than it was before. This country is indebted to the developed country and acts in some way as a vessel state or colony in the sense that it is likely to support the developed country in future political endeavours and become its political ally.
