         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fitzgerald wrote this story so that we could recognize different parts of ourselves within each character; Daisy's weakness, Tom's hypocrisy, Gatsby's hopefulness, Nick's constant confusion and curiosity, Jordan's aloofness, etc. Gatsby is arguably the most relatable character because at some point in our lives, we all feel that hopeful about one situation or another.&nbsp;And it's an emotion that is sustainable.<br>Fitzgerald also seeks to convey many messages: the ultimate cruelty of society, to not let societal expectations influence  our decisions, the road to achieving our goals is a long and hard one, money isn't everything, etc. </div>]]></description>
