How to facilitate consistency and balance in the nurturing of creative projects from seed to flower to garden, no matter the conditions 

conditions ~ swamps and storms of life and (int/ext) chaos, economy and time 

the seed ~ the idea, forming collaborative strongholds in the shape of roots, producing raw shoots 

the flower = the final piece, abandoned in its beautiful nourished glory 

the garden = the space where we gather and commune to appreciate, give time, and explore a creation in its physical form, for example, a screening of a film

FROM BLOSSOMS By Li -Young Lee
From blossoms comes

this brown paper bag of peaches

we bought from the boy

at the bend in the road where we turned toward

signs painted Peaches.

From laden boughs, from hands,

from sweet fellowship in the bins,

comes nectar at the roadside, succulent

peaches we devour, dusty skin and all,

comes the familiar dust of summer, dust we eat.

O, to take what we love inside,

to carry within us an orchard, to eat

not only the skin, but the shade,

not only the sugar, but the days, to hold

the fruit in our hands, adore it, then bite into

the round jubilance of peach.

There are days we live

as if death were nowhere

in the background; from joy

to joy to joy, from wing to wing,

from blossom to blossom to

impossible blossom, to sweet impossible blossom.

A lil description of what has intrigued my imagination last week is on the topic of feeling ‘powerless’ or overwhelmed by all the things that are important and need to be done to help certain communities e.g refugees, especially black refugees 

What could help myself / some of my friends develop our confidence, skills and imagination so that we don’t paralyse / avoid taking action / feel terrible for not taking enough action / feel like what we do is never enough. I’m thinking of co-creating a workshop/ materials that could help with this
