         <title>1. How do you approach questions of identity in the teaching and learning of language/s?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Language teaching and learning in the school centers around the learner’s own experience of language as a marker of identity.&amp;nbsp;A language portfolio or other formats including for example, personal journals and diaries, portraits (self and others), letters, blogs or any other format that allows learners and others to reflect about their evolution over time.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Language acquisition and development (whether it be a mother tongue/best language or an additional language[CRH1]&amp;nbsp;) is used as a means to develop a sustained reflection on individual and collective identities.&amp;nbsp;School or community meetings, presentations in or outside of class on or by individual members of the community or groups, concerts,, performances, sharing reflection on school trips, CAS, etc through school fairs, newsletters online, web sites&amp;nbsp; etc. &amp;nbsp;The school community provides teachers and learners with an opportunity to engage in reflection on how using and developing language affects the learner’s sense of identity.&amp;nbsp;Simulations and other role play, exercises that allow members of the community to directly experience the language barrier.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;[CRH1]Perhaps better- ‘including mother tongue language(s)’</title>
