This is because there isn't many negative aspects said within the quotes as it shows that the men been coached respect their coaches as they believe they are knowledgeable and intelligent on the sport they are wanting to progress in. For example one quote says ' Shes a leader, shes fiery, shes got high intelligence and our guys just respect the hell out of her' However you could argue that some people aren't respectful of women coaches from the quote ' I think that people have to have a pretty good relationship with their mothers to be able to put up with a female coach.

The main reason why women didnt progress the same as men is becasue in 1921 the Football Association (FA) put a ban on women's football that lasted 50 years. Through the 50 years that women's football was banned, football had progressed and had improved. This meant that in 1971 when the FA lifted the ban on women's football, it had to gain the same popularity that men's football had . As women's football wasnt as popular as mens it meant that men were spectated more by people, because of this mens sport became more commercialised, and was broadcasted more. The second thing that NGB's could do to increase the amount of women in coaching roles, is by advertising different coaching oppotunities in the media to allow for a more coverage, and by giving them more oppotunities. For example within schools.
