Beginning: Geronimo Stilton was going to his uncle's house, but instead, he got lost in the middle of the forest. Then he found a castle and went in.
Middle: The castle was very old. It was around 200-300 years old. Inside it was like a house about cats. Geronimo was seeing ghosts like Slice paws ghost. He was a magician in the 1700's. Geronimo was getting scared, so he called Thea his sister. Geronimo told her there was a ghost. Thea instantly rushed and went to the castle. She wants to go to the castle to take pictures of the ghost. She also bring Benjamin who is Geronimo's nephew. There was also Trap (Trap is Geronimo's cousin) who came with Thea. The others searched for ghosts while Benjamin explored and took notes about the castle. Found ghosts: Slice paw's ghost, witch vampire.
End: After a lot of exploring Benjamin solved the puzzle/mystery. The whole thing was a trick. The tricker was a young cat. De had a sister and wanted to repair the castle but they don't have any money so they surprise visitors to think the castle was haunted. Thea had an idea turn the castle into a museum about his family named the CANNYCAT. The Cannycat family was a famous family who fought against the rodents who lose some and win some.

When he goes in there he felt like he was in the sewer. Then he found a lab and it was professor Von Volt's!!! He is an old friend. Prof. Von Volt made an invention that makes you travel through time. Geronimo called Thea, Trap, and Benjamin to go to the past with him.
