Originally I wanted all students to checkout their books so that I could see that in the stats, but after speaking to our Mackin rep, she helped me see that online reads require the students to at least turn pages and open the book in order to register as an online read versus if kids check out books we may not know if they opened them or not. I do want students to check out so that they aren't in the middle of a read and then it is no longer available. The stats page requires some understanding to get the most out of it.
