This action is desperately needed because people suffer from the effects of their disorders, and will not be able to live an ordinary life for a long period of time, or even the rest of their life if they aren’t treated. Mental illnesses negatively impacts the lifestyles of the people who have the illness, not only does it affect their daily behaviours, but it can also devastate their longings and dreams for the future, hence there is a possibility of these people committing suicide. In addition, this issue can relate to me and our community as there are many similar incidences on media where people suffer, and even take their lives because of their mental illness. Not only so, but I personally have a friend that was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, which makes this issue closely related to me. Cooper and Deborah A. Cooper are the co-founders of the organization. They had a son named Eli, who was passionate about his dreams and future, joyful and caring. However in his late teens, Eli was first diagnosed with depression, and later on with Bipolar Disorder. These illnesses not only made it difficult to make his goals come true, but it also made it hard for him to have a healthy adulthood. He soon on could not handle it and committed suicide just before his 31st birthday. David L. Cooper and Deborah A. However, this issue is still in need of attention, many people are still unaware of how this unique mental treatment facility can help a lot of the people who are suffering from their illness.
