The situation will only dramatically worsen unless action regarding the protection of the marine life on the island. Prevention is always better than cure, it is always better to face and resolve environmental problems sooner before they become bigger and even more overwhelming.

Being a famous tourist attraction, it is inevitable for many people to come and visit the island. In line with that it is both the tourists' and the business owners' responsibility to protect both the life below the water and on land. Due to the island's popularity, some businesses have taken advantage of this opportunity. They fail to provide a proper waste management that could help reduce their carbon footprint and make sure that their waste would not carelessly stream down the sea. Businesses aren't the only ones at fault here, tourists sometimes fail to comply with the rules and regulations regarding the proper disposal of their trash.
