My heritage is from the north or Ireland, specifically from Belfast. Both parents were born there. So I am first generation Canadian so that would make me privileged for being white but a bit oppressed for being first generation Canadian. But I love having tea time at 4:00 daily when I'm with my mother. HAHA! I came out to the public after I realized I was bisexual and then had a girlfriend for a year and and a half, which was years after I got divorced. So most people were very confused and I felt a lot of pressure because I come from a very up right, up tight, conservative (privileged) family. For example white picket fence and everything seemed perfect from the outside. But now their (my parents) daughter (me), is divorced and is dating a women. ......so, I'm oppressed. I felt like my tail was between my legs for awhile. I didn't think anyone understood me. I've had a huge struggle with mental health and alcohol addiction for 10 years but for the past two years I've taken a turn for the better and back at school and hopefully help people like me when I was lost in the system. I was remembering how lost I was,. I was in and out of detox's and rehabs and didn't know where to turn. I felt that I was a privileged, educated, white girl but it didn't matter.  I was just a number in the system.  So, hoping to help people like me out there.

Being a woman and being old would definitely make me oppressed.  Being divorced would also make me oppressed because I'm washed-up goods....LOL. Taking into account the guy I married wasn't what he portrayed himself to be. I was lucky to get out of that relationship safely and it was amicable for the most part.  So, I'm back on the market!!!!!
