#1 How and Why did your family come to the United States?

My parents came to the USA to give their kids a better life than they had. They came young I think my Mom was 21 and my Dad was 26 this was after they got married in Mexico they came soon and had my sister. But their main reason for coming to the USA is to give us everything they couldn't have. When they had my sister they were working and they were renting a room at that time. Then they had my oldest brother in 2001 and in 2003 they had my other brother they all used to live in a different house until they moved because they couldn't afford it anymore so they moved into the house that I lived in for my whole life then I was born in 2009 and ever since it has been the same they continue to work

#2 What were the obstacles that they met?

My parents had obstacles and one of them was trying to find jobs to earn money especially because they were undocumented it was harder trying to find a job and even if they did it wasn´t a high-paying job so they would have to live paycheck to paycheck and once they had my siblings it was harder for them having to work and maintain two young boys and my sister who had to help take care of them. But their main obstacle was trying to get their papers and I think my dad was able to be forgiven and get his papers and them he helped my mom.

#3 What was going on Historically in the U.S. during this time and did it affect your family?

One thing that was good for them was That the economy was really good so they were able to get a house but after a while they werent able to meet the payments so they moved to my childhood home
