Being invited as an ambassador was a very fulfilling for me as I was able to actively contribute to my community in ways that I can see. With every increase in our funds, we were able to buy books, papers, and educational materials that were delivered directly to the children. 

Truly, everyone is entitled to proper education as it equips one with the power to not only survive but to prosper. At first, we were supposed to organize a face-to-face event with them but the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our initial plans. Instead of the basic food and clothes that were supposed to be provided, they now needed antigen kits and pocket wifis that were essential during the height of the pandemic. 

Despite only meeting online, our class was able to accumulate funds to aid our partner community by giving them what they need and more. This orphanage was special because besides offering a home to the children, they also provided them with schooling; which was done by both volunteers and hired teachers. 

Truly, connecting with the children in real life was life-changing. I was able to witness their hope, purity, and intelligence first-hand. I personally heard their life stories, struggles, and dreams—all of which ignited my desire to help them get to the bright future they can definitely achieve if given the opportunity. Their rights to education, rights to a family, and rights to the basic necessities, I want them to have it all.

Overall, this meeting made me once again realize that there is much more to happiness than materialistic gains and much more to life than our personal success.
