Alexandrina, Flora, Katie, Violette

Synergy is how multiple agents come together to to build a sum greater than their parts. Our form shows how different pieces, representing different people, are used to create something new and profound. At least a bit of every available material was used, demonstrating that synergy is more powerful the more diverse a group is.

Our concept plays on the idea of mutation or change, especially in regard to personal growth over the course of one's lifetime. Humans all start from the same place, but due to such things as genetics and environment, we become singular. The paper chain reflects this idea by starting as a single string that then evolves to a series of branches, each differing in color and size.
