Instructions:

Choose a Theme (5 minutes):

As a group, decide on a central idea or question (e.g., identity, connection, change).

Develop Your Concept (10 minutes):

Briefly discuss how your artwork will convey the theme.

Decide on a medium (e.g., text, performance, simple objects you have access to in class, or a combination).

Create a Quick Prototype (10 minutes):

Use available materials to create a basic sketch, mock-up, or mini-performance of your idea.

Prepare to Present (5 minutes):

Write 2-3 sentences explaining your concept.

Highlight how the form supports the idea. MAKE A PADLET POST listing your group members & your 2-3 sentence description/explanation of your concept.

Share with the Class (15 minutes):

Each group will have 2 minutes to present their piece and concept.

Materials Available:

Markers, paper, tape, and small objects.

Evaluation Criteria:

Creativity and originality.

Clarity of the concept.

Connection between the theme and medium.

Synergy is how multiple agents come together to to build a sum greater than their parts. Our form shows how different pieces, representing different people, are used to create something new and profound. At least a bit of every available material was used, demonstrating that synergy is more powerful the more diverse a group is.

Everything comes eventually. It is inevitable.

No matter how bad your life gets or how good it gets, everything that happens in it will come and go. Everything in our lives our unavoidable sometimes and that there’s nothing we can really do when they do happen.

Our work is showing how digital communication is taking over and replacing traditional face to face conversations. Online conversations can be superficial and not as deep as in person ones. Now people are losing sight of the meaning of in person interactions. 

Identity is different for each person, and it makes up who we are. It is random and non-uniform. Our identity can be broken down into multiple aspects.
