Everybody compares themselves with others; that is human nature. The problem is now that we are focused to a fault on it. It is much better to compare yourself now to where you were and where you could be. That way you look for ways to improve and get excited for the future. Hard work is hard. Many people are lazy. What is easier, accept that you will need to work hard and succeed, or blame others for your lack of success? We were raised with the media and school putting an emphasis on fairness, and talking about how oppressed certain groups are. The world is not fair; to succeed everyone must push pass unfairness and struggle through it. Technology has brought our standard of living to an all time high, and has brought billions out of poverty.
