INFLUENCER ANALYTICS AND POLYNOMIAL PROBLEMS

Direction: Answer the problem below.

Lia is a social media influencer who tracks her growth through a data algorithm that can be modeled by a polynomial function. Her follower growth over the past months follows this equation: F(x) = 2x³ - 3x² - 5x + 6,
where x represents the number of months since she started tracking and F(x) is her follower gain in thousands. Recently, Lia discovered that the platform changed its algorithm, and one of the old tactics (corresponding to x = 1) no longer works in boosting engagement. To adjust her growth model, Lia wants to factor out (x - 1) from her follower function to analyze the remaining trends.
