When Marlie and Strong John go to her hut to ask for information she tells them the riddle and the two think it's a waist of time going to her and they should of known better that an independent mysterious woman would share knowledge. But really I think the message is hidden behind the riddle and in the journey.Everyone in that village has been taught that the answer is always infront  of you. But really Shebas teaching them a tough lesson. On the other hand Rowan is different from everyone in the village he has a lot of knowledge and thinks about things rather then say it straight away and regret what you've said.
