Money

Currency is the Romanian leu ([l-e-u], plural lei [lej]; code: RON). It is subdivided into 100 bani ([banʲ], singular: ban [ban]), a word that also means "money" in Romanian. If you may need to pay in cash please be aware that payments are made in lei.

The current exchange rate is quite stable at approx. 5 lei for 1 EUR.

Electricity

For Romania there are two associated plug types, types C and F. The power grid generated 220V.

• To use buses, trams, or trolleybuses, you must first purchase an 'Activ' or 'Multiple' magnetic card  from any STB street kiosk, which you then load with credit for your trip.
• Trips cost 3 RON (0.6 EUR) each and you can travel for 90 minutes on multiple lines. You have to validate the card each time you enter the tram or bus. Travelling without a validated card risks an 80 RON fine on-the-spot. 
• You can plan a route on the STB website or with the help of mobile apps such as Google Maps, Moovit, or Transport Urban.

• The network consists of four lines (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5), with 63 stations. 
• The use of the subway system in Bucharest is based on a magnetic card, which you can buy directly from stations or from vending machines.
• Trips cost 3 RON (0.6 EUR) each.  

Arrival and departure

• Please make sure that you book your flights to Henri Coanda International Airport or if you come by train, to book your tickets for Gara de Nord București.

Travelling

• Remember to arrive at the airport early enough, as check-in procedures may take a little longer.  

Documents

• Please have your passport/ ID card with you and make sure that all the documents are still valid!

Insurance

• Consider buying travel insurance or international assistance insurance for yourself. 

• If you have the European Health Insurance Card, please take it with you. If not, please get your card before your departure, this is normally free of charge.

Beniamin has developed a portfolio of non-formal tools designed to address varied topics, especially related to preventive education against unhealthy and abusive behavioral tendencies (addictions, violence, conflicts), social inclusion, environment and sustainability, citizenship active, and personal development.

Currently, he acts as an independent trainer and as a youth worker in the organization he

coordinates, but also as a collaborator with several similar organizations, including universities.

A training seminar addressed to beneficiaries implementing KA220-HED projects starting with the 2022 open call that are based on the lump sum funding model. The aim of this activity is to improve the understanding of what impact means in correlation with the objectives and how could it be proved, to support beneficiaries to formulate adequate indicators and give them instruments to monitor the progress and to realise an evaluation, to elaborate methods of ensuring and measuring the quality of results through indicators; to prepare beneficiaries for the final report stage.

Expected results:

·       Improvement of results developed by beneficiaries to become more impactful at all expected levels;

·       beneficiaries develop knowledge about ensuring and measuring quality, through appropriate methods and indicators;

·       final reports prepared for the projects are complete and provide descriptions of the achieved results and impact, demonstrating that the appropriate quality was reached objectives and indicators are reached;

·       beneficiaries learn how to report on WPs completion and  how the assessment of indicators will be done by external evaluators;

·       no budget reductions due to poor project implementation after evaluations of final reports.
