For her latest project, she had to build a model of a volcano that erupts.


The first time she tested it, nothing happened. She tried again and the mixture overflowed everywhere, making a huge mess.


Zara felt frustrated and thought, “I’m just not good at science.” She was about to give up, but then remembered what her teacher had said last week about the power of “yet.”


So she told herself, “I haven’t got it to work yet.” She watched a tutorial, adjusted the ingredients, and tested it again. This time, her volcano erupted perfectly.

At the science fair, she proudly shared her project and explained the steps she took when things went wrong.
