I've met alot of wonderful people on the way and during my time in the Army met the love of my life. We are still currently doing long distance until I move next year to Chicago. A lot of time it goes unreported because it negatively impacts career progression amongst other things. This paired with little support networks and lack of mental health support can be mentally detrimental which is why I don’t recommend it at all when someone asks if they should join the military.
