The Journey to Revival

A learner with the simplest, a teacher of the thoughtfullest,

Up from a past that’s rooted in pain.

A novice beginning yet experient of myriads of seasons,

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear

I do not know which to prefer,

Cut the ties you have to failure and shame.

Or indulge in lucid, inescapable rhythms.

The journey might take you a few hours, a day, a year, a few years, a hundred, a thousand or even more.

I resist any thing better than my own diversity.

Just like moons and like suns,

Let go the pain you are holding in your mind, your shoulders, your heart, all the way to your feet.

Regardless of others, ever regardful of others,

Watch your mind. Without training it might run away and leave your heart for the immense human feast set by the thieves of time.

Regardless of others, ever regardful of others,

When you find your way to the circle, to the fire kept burning by the keepers of your soul, you will be welcomed.

Regardless of others, ever regardful of others,

Don’t worry, do not hold regrets, ask for forgiveness, and give it back with gratitude

The bright suns I see and the dark suns I cannot see are in their place,

Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear.

It was a small part of the pantomime.

Hi Lyrik! I loved your spliced poem. The title you chose, "The Journey of Revival", was especially eye catching! Your repeated use of the phrase "regardless of others, even regardful of others" to emphasize your points was also clever.

Lyrik,

This was an awesome read, I love the way that you arranged this. I see that we drew inspiration from many of the same lines/poems, too, which is cool that they resonated with you as well, but you were able to utilize them to showcase different themes. The ideas of pushing forward through brokenness to work towards healing and acceptance are shown beautifully through this arrangement. It seems like a painful testimony turned into important life advice.
