Definition: Proof by verbosity is essentially just a intimidation tactic used in arguments, its just someone addressing an argument in such a way that "that is far too complicated and verbose for an opponent to reasonably address all the particulars, or the person making the argument is so well-reputed that one takes his claims as truth."
Connection: This website gives some good examples of this red flag and most importantly provides 2 case studies that show you exactly how this tactic is applied into everyday life.
https://logfall.wordpress.com/proof-by-verbosity/

Red Flag: Confirmation Bias Post #3

Definition: Confirmation bias is one of the easier red flag to fall under as a person just getting into some of the world mysteries and it is basically researching something and only looking at facts that you believe in and ignoring the ones you don't. So say you believe in Bigfoot then you only look at research that proves him real and ignore the posts that make him "fake".
Connection: This website only shows and talks about the proof of Bigfoot being real and it doesn't really look into all the science behind Bigfoot not being real which is a prime example of Bigfoot not being real.
https://www.popularmechanics.com/adventure/outdoors/a23622082/bigfoot-history/

Reason for Belief: Patternicity Post #7

Definition: Patternicity is something i feel strong about because i actually know where it originates from. It originates from the early (some of the first ever) humans on earth. These human learned to see faces in the shrubs and trees and skies because they were looking for predators all the time, we weren't always the top of the food chain. Patternicity is when you tend to find patterns in meaningless noise.
Connection: This picture definition isn't exactly what i wanted, i wanted the picture for the visual sake. It shows how you can see "faces" in places where there arent actually any faces it just looks like that.

Red Flag: Ideological Support Post #4

Definition: Ideological Support is when there isn't any scientific proof of a claim/world mystery and therefore people for the belief onto others because of the lack of proof that it doesn't exist.
Connection: The website link below shows how the lack of science within a mystery allows people to push their beliefs onto other easier and is actually rather effective. Opening your third eye is something the leans over towards mystical energy but it still show that the lack of proof and increase in belief can allow you took hook people onto such beliefs and this website is a prime example.
https://www.gaia.com/article/how-to-awaken-your-third-eye

Definition: Mystical Energy is something I don't strongly or even slightly believe in. It essentially means the belief in energy created and maintained through connecting with the divine.
Connection: This website talk about your "chakra's" which is something that MANY people believe in and i strongly do not. It talks about the chakra's how to open them and experience them which in my opinion is bullshieeet.
https://www.wikihow.com/Open-Your-Spiritual-Chakras

Red Flag: Appeal to Authority Post #6

Definition: Appeal to Authority is probably a rather effective red flag because authority is something with a huge impact on today society and on a lot of people. It is when a company/person presents a product for you and its backed by something with authority in that subject saying that this product is good and that they approve but in reality it makes no difference on the product just a method of sales in my opinion.
Connection: The most commonly known example and connection is probably this picture, the camels cigarettes provide a picture of a doctor smoking this cigarette because it give the impression that this cigarette is the best for you in the long run. which is clearly and obviously a lie.

Definition: Ideology is just when a person of group of people find a set of beliefs in something typical because of you as a person and your beliefs, such as your cultural beliefs and your political beliefs. Other minor but also common effecting factor are racism, religion and sexism.
Connection: This Wikipedia page is great because it gives a run down of the 14 top ideologies that are most common in the world today and explains each in great detail, is tells you the good and the bad of each and is a great connection to the actual subject.
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Political_Theory/Ideologies_of_Government

Reason for Belief: Simplicity Post #9

Definition: Simplicity is very straightforward as the name suggest. An easy break down is just the belief (god that word is everywhere) of that a coincidence wasn't just a coincidence and had some kind of connect to a super physic power. essentially just believing that it happen for a reason."The gods will it"
Connection: In a game called Apex legends a character called "bloodhound" is a perfect connection because everything he does is "willed by the gods" he believes that the super powerful gods have jurisdiction over his life and everything else in the world.

Critical Thinking Process: Simplicity Post #10

Define Problem: People don't see things how they really are so when they take their belief of a physic power and apply it to a situation that needs a level of reality and seriousness that isn't present in such applied beliefs that it can hinder or even misguide people.
Gather Information: Bloodhound in the game obviously is controlled by the player but in the lore behind the game its clear that his actions can hinder others and can put him in a difficult place because of his belief in simplicity.
Evaluate Evidence: The lore is lore it maybe fantasy but its a great example, The picture below proves that he has been in situation that are quite stick and his simplicity of the "gods" has cause that.
Recognize Assumptions: I feel that the beliefs in a over power isn't realistic enough for me but i see where the circumstances can present themselves. bloodhound hasn't had the greatest life nor has he died in the lore yet through following the "gods".
Synthesize Evidence: Its difficult cause i feel this red flag keep the mind trapped in a small space and its very hard to get out, you have to open their minds up to a more broad way of living and show them the realism that is required and how much better it can be because of that.
Select Best Alternative: The best alternative would be to allow the experience of reality, where the upper power has no say and cannot effect them, or as i call it a reality slap.
