The main Character in this book is Corrine. Corrine wants to save her town from the Jumbies. but one witch traped her dad and if she killed the witch it would kill him. they then went to the nice witch for help. then the witch was not going to help and they fought the witch while someone got her dad. I would recommend reading my book because it is filled with adventure and just the right amount of horror and I think anyone could enjoy this book. It is like a friendship book Corrine and her friends go out to stop the wicked witch and her horde of Jumbies to save her town. Like in one chapter there can be a little bit of a jump scare when they go into the forest to talk to the nice witch and Dru falls and that makes your heart drop for a second when you get scared for her because you don't know what's going to happen next. And again I would recommend this book for its amazing friendships and its little bit of horror.

-Eve

Yes I would recommend this book! This book is about a girl named Nikki. Nikki wanted to become a actor, but since she is the biggest dork in school it would never happen right? Somehow in a blink of an eye Nikki has her own TV show, and has a camera crew following her around 24/7. Although it seemed like now she has the perfect life, she wants to go back to her regular life. She does not want a camera crew following, and recording everything she does. The reason I would recommend this book is because it is very interesting, and it has a very big plot in it. This book really makes you change your mind about character, and more.

Bradley

Yes, I would recommend this book to a friend because the topic is very interesting and makes you want to keep reading to figure out what comes next. An example of an interesting part of the book that makes you want to make you keep reading is "I scroll down, scanning the messages at top speed. They never even started the movie C.J. showed up at the fort, holding his side and growing in pain. After school, he fell off his new hoverboard doing one of those crazy daredevil stunts of his, and the guys brought him straight to Emergency at Canaan General. Ricky's afraid he might have broken ribs. C.J.'s mom and stepdad met them there. They're waiting for the results of the X-rays." That is interesting to me because it makes me wonder what will happen next. So I would recommend this book for its great topics that it includes in the story.

~Charlotte~

I didn't know that Markie was only a preschooler and that he has such wise advice. When he helped build up confidence in Kevin to help ask out a girl he liked. Markie is wise little kid and Gary Paulsen (The author) did a great job adding character traits into each character. Gary Paulsen captures the reader's interest by, hooking the reader at each chapter. this makes them want to read more and more. One thing I wish he included was if he made the chapters longer or he added more words in a chapter. I can conclude that this book is a good book for youth readers like me reading the title I thought it was going to be like any other book by Gary Paulsen but surprisingly though this was a different book because he included a lot of dialogue and he included many emotions so i'd say this is a "feel good" book. I would recommend this to many people who like realistic fiction or just like to read feel good books!

Isabelle

Yes, I would recommend this book because I find it interesting because it is about a girl learning about her Chinese heritage and the troubles of Chinese people. Like in one of the stories she is told she learns that white people would constantly hurt Chinese people but they would not go to jail, but if a Chinese person hurt a white person the Chinese man would go to jail and I and the girl Maizy that that was so unfair. Maizy's grandpa or Opa said that Chinese people had no rights in America and white people were free to hurt them. It is like getting a get out of jail free card every turn in Monopoly.

Alexa

Yes! I would definitely recommend this book to others. This book is so great and probably one of the best books I have ever read. It is a great lesson at the end and it is really fun to read.

Out of My Mind is about an eleven year old girl named Melody brooks. Melody has cerebral palsy, Which means she can't walk, talk, and eat without someone helping her. Melody is in the special classroom with other disabled kids. Melody soon gets invited to go to the "normal classroom" with some other kids from the special class. Melody has a caretaker named Catherine, Catherine is pretty young but takes amazing care of Melody at school. One of my favorite parts is when she takes the whiz kids test and she gets a higher score than the people that are mean to her, I thought it was funny when they got mad that Melody got a higher score.

I love this book so much and it is definitely one of my favorites! I love all the good events that happen in this book and I think my friends will love it just as much as I do!

Rick Riordan Kamran Varjavandi-

I would 100% recommend this book to all my friends that are my age. I would recommend this book because it's about a special kid named Percy Jackson who has dyslexia and ADHD too. He's just starting middle school and of course everything goes sideways. But I would mostly recommend this book because it's about never giving up even when it seems grim. But mostly, it's funny jokes and great writing.

I will also give a summary about it, Percy Jackson wants to protect Olympus from being destroyed by Kronos, Tyhoon and their monster of an army. He also wanted to protect his friends his mom and step-dad and all the people of New York and basically the world. But, Kronos and Tyhoon and their army is much stronger and outnumbered Percy and his friends. Also Kronos is like Zeus, Posiden, and Hades dad so.. he's incredibly strong and don't get me started on Tyhoon.. He is the strongest monster ever, challenged all the gods in their prime and technically didn't lose he just got trapped.

I would recommend this because my friends like magic and books like Percy Jackson and it is funny and exciting. I would rate this book great for those who love magic and adventure, like I said its funny and exciting and I love that about the book. a summary about this book would be for four children to find a medallion so they make wishes but they only grant half the wish an example is they wish for a desert island but get only a desert and its also about all their adventures with their wishes and how they use them.

Gordon Korman

Bobby

YES!! I would recommend the book to anybody! The charters are Evan, C.J., Michael, Ricky and Janelle. Mainly Evan and C.J. are the main charters the friends found a fort because hurricane Leo destroyed all of their town. They all went into the woods to see if there old fort was still up, well it got destroyed just as bad as bad as their town. Ricky and Evan found a abandoned bunker for world war III but it never happened so the boys went in and found food, water and electricity and more to make it the Fort. They wanted to keep it a secret and tell none, and it was going well but Evan has a brother called Luke Luke is friends with Jagger they start being suspicious of them when they start making a bunch of money from the sliver and gold forks. so they start to track the Fort. also C.J.s stepdad Marcus is a big problem, he looks nice but really he is something else [ I am not going to say what happens because that spoils the big event in the book] Then Janelle called the police to resolve the problem. The Fort was destroyed and thrown in the dump. the boys feel sad about the Fort but they will never forget it!

Autumn

There are lots of characters in the book, most of them are side characters. The side characters are Claire, and Molly. They are the girls at her school who are mean to her about her disability. Rose is Melody's only friend. Rose supports Melody throughout the whole story. Mr. Dimming is her teacher, and the one who runs the Whiz Kids Team. Connor is a kid at her school who is really funny, and kind. Butterscotch is the last side character. Butterscotch is there dog, that is loving and protective. One of the main characters is Penny. Penny is Melody's little sister who loves to call her Dee-Dee. Melody is the main character. The story is from her perspective, and it's about her. About her struggles, and her victories. The Mom, and Dad are also the main characters. They take care of Melody, and get her the Medi-Talker. Mrs. V (Violet) is the last main character. Melody goes to her house after school most days, and Mrs. V puts a bunch of words, phrases, and sentences on her Medi-Talker. Mrs. V also got her ready for the Whiz Kids Competition.

Melody's goal is to make friends, and hang out with the "normal" kids. She wants to feel like one of them. She wishes she could express herself farther than the Medi-Talker can. She wants to be able to go places, without being in a wheelchair. She wishes no one had to feed her food, she feels really weird when people watch her be fed.

Melody doesn't know how to accomplish this, though. She has Cerebral Palsy. She can't talk, walk, write, or feed herself. She has no idea what to do. She can only make sounds that only her mom, and dad understand.

Melody got the Medi-Talker! She could just tab a button with her thumb, and it would say a word. Melody never was able to walk, actually talk, or write, though.

Melody accepted herself for who she is, and she loves herself.

Yes! This is one of my favorite books. All of the moments just pop out, and really make you smile. This book has no horror elements, so my friends shouldn't be scared or anything like that. This book is so great, it is amazing how Melody has the spotlight even though she has Cerebral Palsy. It is amazing how no one judges her.

Lilly

This book is about a girl named Coyote sunrise. Coyote and her dad live on a bus and her mom and sisters passed away. Coyote wanted to go to an old park to get a memory box. Coyote, her sisters and her mom buried the box and said they would come back in 10 years. But when she asked her dad if they could go he said no . Coyote was very upset because she really wants to remember her family. So then she begged her dad to take her to the old park. So finally her dad said yes that he would take her. Then they got to the park and she found the memory box and was so happy and excited.

I would recommend this book because it makes you think that there are people that don't have a parent. There are also moments where they are funny which brings some fun into the book. It is also just a fantastic book all around.

I would not recommend it to my friends because I think that it takes a lot to get into Greek mythology. That is coming from a person who it took me a whole summer to get into the books. I think that I would not because it talks about Greek gods and you need some background knowledge. I think that anyone could get into it but I would not recommend it. The main characters are Percy, Annabeth, Nico. They wanted to stop Kronos from destroying Olympus. When they were going to New York were Olympus is they were building there defenses but Kronos's army was too overwhelming and they could not keep up. Luke the villain from the other books had to sacrifice himself because he was the host body for Kronos. They could live peacefully and have kids from all God's come to Camp Half-blood.

-Leo

Rick Riordan ~Jack~

Yes. I would definitely recommend this book to just about all of my friends and the kids my age. I would recommend this book because of how much action there is packed into it, the details it tells you, the ending, and how much this story has taught me about the gods and goddesses. You should read the first and second books first to get to this book.(First book: The Lightning Thief Second book: The Sea of Monsters Those are also really good books that I recommend.) Overall I think most if not all of my friends would like Percy Jackson and the Titans Curse.

At the start of this book Percy was coming off of a quest he sneaked into and was delivering the Golden Fleece back to Camp Half-Blood. The book starts off has Grover calls for trouble on their empathy link and Percy, Thalia, and Annabeth immediately come out the rescue. From there they meet Nico Di Angelo and Bianca Di Angelo. They also meet the Hunters. The goddess Artemis is in trouble and Chiron(The director of Camp Half-Blood) sends 3 Hunters and 2 campers to attempt to save the goddess Artemis and Percy's friend Annabeth. The Hunters that get picked are Zoe and Bianca because the other Hunter got sick. The campers to get picked were Grover and Thalia even though Grover is a satyr. Even though Percy was not picked to go on the quest he jumps in anyway and is accepted by Zoe as the 5th member of the quest. In the quest Zoe and Bianca sadly die but they do find Annabth and the goddess Artemis which was what they were mainly looking for. They head to Mount Olympus which is the palace of the gods/goddesses and demigods. They get Artemis back to the council just in time. Thalia is accepted on to the Hunters as one of their new members. Percy gets to talk with his dad and god Poseidon. He gets a compliment from him which is like. . . huge and things are ending well for Percy. That is until he figures out that soon there will be a big war between the Titans and the Gods but until then all is well. :)
