I think that it is important to have the Aseres HaDivros to guide your life. They offer laws for you to follow, and you can improve your quality of life by doing them. They are the pillars of how to live by. Rashi says that the 613 mitzvos can be sorted into the Aseres HaDivros. How does this answer the question? It means that those are the corner stones of the 613. You should go by those, and the you will be a lot closer to all 613. (From OU).
That answer makes a lot of sense, and I enjoy it.

The Rambam says that all 613 mitzvot fall under one of the categories of the aseres hadibrot. I like this answer because it shows how the aseres hadibrot are kind of like a simple intro to the Torah. Plus, it explains why it seems that some of these are random.
