the poem makes us feel sympathy for the caged bird because he has no freedom and only been in the caged not like the free bird. The evidence is "his wings are clipped and feet are tied"and "so he opens his throat to sing".This tells me that the evidence is using visual imagery and metaphor because the clipped wings and feet tied represents that the caged bird is physically and emotionally controlled, lacking of freedom.Even though the caged bird is locked up,the bird continues to sing which shows resilience. Having the bird to suffer will make us feel sympathy for the bird with no freedom. This tells me that someone being trapped will let us feel pain.

The poem makes us feel sympathy for the caged bird by highlighting its suffering and lack of freedom. The poet describes how the bird's "wings are clipped and his feet are tied," which shows that it is physically trapped and unable to escape. This use of imagery helps us picture the bird's pain and makes us empathise with its helpless situation. This contrast creates a strong emotional impact, as we feel sorrow for the bird's longing to be free. Overall, the poem uses imagery to make readers feel deep sympathy for the caged bird.

It walks this way because it feels and and frightened that it has lost its freedom. The cage is extremely small and this emphasises that the caged bird has limited movement and thus, limited freedom. The caged bird not being able to

see often emphasises its lack of freedom as it is not allowed to even

look out of its cage.

The poem makes us feel sympathy for the caged bird through its use of powerful imagery and emotive language. The poet describes the caged bird as having “his wings are clipped and his feet are tied,” which creates a sense of physical restriction and helplessness. This contrasts sharply with the freedom of the bird that “leaps on the back of the wind,” highlighting the unfairness of the caged bird’s situation. The poet uses a mournful tone in the line “his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream,” emphasizing the bird’s deep emotional suffering and sense of despair. Additionally, the repetition of the phrase “the caged bird sings of freedom” shows the bird’s enduring hope and longing, which makes the reader feel even more compassionate towards it. By showing both the physical and emotional pain of the caged bird, the poet successfully makes the reader sympathize with its suffering and desire for liberation.

The is an example of a metaphor. The phrase" stalks down his narrow cage" tells us that the caged bird is determined to find an escape."Can seldom see through his bars of rage" tells us that the bird is not able to view the outside world which makes it angry."his wings are clipped" shows that the bird is not able to fly for freedom."his feet are tied" shows that the bird is not able to walk around in the cage .The poem makes us feel sympathy for the caged bird as it is trapped in a caged and is not able to move or even feel how it is like to have freedom ,to fly anywhere it wants to.

This poem made me feel really sorry for the bird that is trapped in the cage. The line "his wings are clipped and his feet are tied " uses imagery to help the reader picture how sad and painful the bird’s life is. It shows that the bird is not only locked in a cage, but also has no way to move or fly, he can’t fly, and his feet are tied, so he can’t walk or escape. This makes the bird feel helpless and stuck. The bird has no freedom at all, and he is controlled in every way. This line made me think about how hard it must be to live like that. It also made me understand that the bird could be a symbol for people who are trapped or treated unfairly.

The bird is described as having "his wings are clipped and his feet are tied." This shows that the bird is suffering. These words create a clear picture of pain and restriction, making the reader feel sorry for the bird because it cannot fly or move freely like it can . Therefore, the poem encourages us to sympathize with the caged birds loss of freedom and hope.

This creates a strong image of a creature that has no ability to move freely. The imagery helps us imagine how painful and frustrating it must be to live without freedom. This makes the reader feel pity and sadness for the bird, because even though it is suffering, it still tries to sing. This shows strength but also how desperate the bird is to be free.By describing the bird's pain and longing, the poet makes us sympathise with its situation and want it to be free.

This makes us feel sympathy because it shows how the bird has lost it's freedom and how sad it feels. This can be seen from "stalks down his narrow cage" The device used in this piece of evidence are action and visual imagery. "stalks" show the fear and sadness upon losing its freedom. "narrow cage" shows how the cage was extremely small, leaving the bird moving with only limited movement and therefore limited freedom. Hence, this helps us to sympathise the bird by expressing its hopelessness and loss of freedom.

After reading this poem, I felt sympathy for the bird, because the bird has no freedom both mentally and physically as we can tell from "His bars of rage, his wings are clipped and his feet are tied." Even though the bird has no freedom he is still seeking it and watches other free birds from afar with envy and wishes it could be him one day, we can see that from "the caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his till is hurt on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom." Thus, we can tell how much freedom means to someone.

The comparison of the caged bird and free bird tells me hope will not always come true. This can be seen from the poem "dares to claim the sky." The device is kinesthetic imagery. This can also be seen from the poem "things unknown" and "longed for still." The device is paradox. This shows that the free bird is depicted as brave and bold and does not have to hope to go somewhere and is also not scared to view wherever he goes as his. But the caged bird although desires to escape from its cage and wants to know the unknown things that he has never been able to see, he cannot since he is trapped in the cage. This emphasises no matter how much you hope and wish for something, it might not always become true.

In the caged birds eyes the free bird has the freedom of doing what he wants and that's what the caged bird hopes for , to the caged bird this is all he wants but to the free bird this is something that doesn't mean a lot to him. Thus , this shows the different perspective of hope to the two birds .
